John Pickersgill, British/Australian, found an enthusiastic audience for his zany. somewhat macabre sense of humor on local radio, which spread worldwide with the advent of the Internet. He lived in Launceston, Tasmania until his death in 2005. The poems featured here are gleaned, with permission, from his former web site and his contributions to P.O.E.M.S., an email journal devoted to rhyming verse. which ran from 1997 to 2001. He was well loved.
